Traditional postpartum care focuses on the core pillars of rest, nourishing foods, healing touch, warmth & community.
Care is personalized to your unique needs & could look like:
-preparing an herbal bath/foot bath/sitz bath
-making you a cup of herbal tea & a snack /meal such as broth, congee, slow cooked meat, homemade sourdough bread, etc.
-lactation/feeding assistance
-meal planning suggestions
-postpartum planning- setting up a plan for when I’m not with you
-watching baby while you take a nap or take some time for self-care
-infant care guidance/assistance
-an herbal infused light massage
-abdominal moxabustion
-belly wrapping
-light household chores such as laundry, dishes, organization, setting up your nest, etc.

For in-person postpartum care, the sooner the better. Ideally I would work with you as your birth doula so I could offer immediate postpartum support. Otherwise I would recommend starting no later than the first week to help set you up for a restorative postpartum.
For the postpartum planning package, also as soon as possible so you can begin preparations with plenty of time before birth.
Generally postpartum care is offered 6 weeks or 40 days after birth. However postpartum can last for months, years, even forever.

I make homemade sourdough bread including boules, sandwich loaves, brioche, English muffins, foccacia, cinnamon rolls, Swedish cardamom buns - all long fermented for digestibility.

$50-$65/hour, shifts are a minimum of 3 hours, daytime only
Postpartum planning session:
Postpartum planning sessions are offered prenatally to get you set up with a plan for your postpartum period so it is deeply nourishing & restorative. Planning assists with having the basics covered so you can focus on thriving not just surviving.
This planning session acts as a guide to assist you & your support people in feeling prepared to best tend to you & your family during this sacred time.
$250, in-person or virtual, 2 hours, includes 1:1 support, a digital resource packet, & access to local (SF Bay Area) resource/referral list
