I am Allison Green, a birth worker and mother of a 7 year old living in the East Bay.
I offer birth doula services, postpartum doula support, & Birth Story Medicine sessions.
Having experienced a profound shift after the birth of my son, I answered the call to support others in times of transformation.
It is truly an honor to do this work.

Birth is a heroic journey which requires accessing both modern and inner knowing. Taking time to explore your beliefs about birth, pain, motherhood, parenting, your fears, & beyond before labor deepens my ability to support you. Together we will embrace the unknown & your unique experience.
I view my relationship with you as a mentor because you know your body and journey best. My role is to help you access your inner and outer resources, offer suggestions along the way, & to be present.

Postpartum is the journey out of the labyrinth
Families need support in the postpartum period in order to thrive and the effects of this care ripple out into the community. Throughout time, this has been viewed as a necessity, not a luxury.
My role is to set you up with resources and suggestions for a nourishing postpartum return and to be with you in community. This can make all the difference for you and your family’s health, happiness, and ease of integration and transition into matrescence and the rituals of your new family.
Tending to your birth story
1 in 3 women report experiencing birth trauma. You are not alone. Birth stories benefit from gentle tending from an open-minded, compassionate guide to gain a new understanding & a path forward.
While we cannot change the events that unfolded, we can change the meaning and beliefs we take from our birth experience. You are the author of your birth story.
